Careers in the US Foreign Service | US Department of State

Join us for a talk with a Hometown Diplomat on 
"Careers in the U.S. Foreign Service and the Work of the U.S. Department of State”

Featuring Ms. Renee Lee, a Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) assigned to the office of Strategic Planning in the Bureau of Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of State.  Ms. Lee is a second generation Korean-American, with hometowns in Honolulu and Seoul, South Korea.  She entered the U.S. Foreign Service in 2012 after initial federal service at the U.S. Forest Service, where she was a public affairs specialist. Prior to studying public diplomacy at the University of Southern California, Lee served in the U.S. Air Force as a public affairs officer in the Asia-Pacific region.
Her talk will discuss her experiences, careers in the Foreign Service and the work of the U.S. State Department.  She is back in Hawaii as part of the Hometown Diplomats Program.  The mission of the program is to put a hometown face on foreign policy and to explain to America what our foreign policy does, how it works, and why it matters.

Operation Homefront

OPERATION HOMEFRONT's
Back-To-School Brigade!

Operation Homefront is collecting school supplies for military families. Join the Back-To-School Brigade to support our troops and their families!

July 1 - July 31: Hawai'i Pacific University will collect the following school items to distribute to military kids:

  • (150 pk) Notepaper (wide ruled)
  • (8 pk) Crayola markers
  • (24 pk) Crayola crayons
  • 8oz. Elmer's Glue
  • (3pk) red ball point pens
  • Wooden rulers
  • Kid scissors
  • (10pk) #2 pencils
  • (3pk) Kleenex
  • or, any AWESOME extras!!
Drop offs will be located at each of our HPU base locations!
